The Harrison McCain Visitorship

The Harrison McCain Visitorship provides Acadia faculty the opportunity to travel to other institutions for the purpose of research. With the support of the Harrison McCain Visitorship, Dr. Lesley Frank was able to travel to Scotland and collaborate with Dr. Flora Douglas from Robert Gordon University (RGU) School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice. Dr. Frank worked with Dr. Douglas to produce a short film about experiences of maternal and infant food insecurity in the UK.

During her trip to Scotland, Dr. Frank also had a discussion with people of Feed UK. Feed UK is an organization that focuses on increasing support for infant feeding in the United Kingdom. Dr. Frank spoke at a seminar hosted by the University of Edinburgh and FeedUK on her food security research to a cross-sector audience. Dr. Frank also spoke at a seminar hosted by the Aberdeen Health Determinants Research Collaborative at RGU, as well as a seminar with the RGU School of Midwifery.
